Paris photographically is wonderful. The city’s architecture so well preserved, that many countries in Asia should adapt to preserve the soul of the city since civilization. I haven’t been to many places to compare, but it does feel that the city preserve the history so well, it’s just great. The city has character.

There is something about being in the city of love. Especially end of spring, rain time. Where to floor is wet, and the wind is breezy and cold. Gives Paris a really beautiful photography opportunity. It could be people cycling through the wet tar road. Or, a reflection of trees and streets from a puddle of water. I just can’t stop clicking my shutter.

I must say, the rain did pose a different headache while we were churning our portfolio, but we adapt our plans to the city’s weather, and came out not too shabby. While I will be working on the portraits of our wedding couple, enjoy these photographs from the city of love.

When we connect the dots, we realize many of our clients knows each other, and we often meet back our clients in their friend’s wedding. Today’s shoot is one of them. We were shooting a client’s friend, who is a friend of a client’s client….. make sense ? Any-hu… I thank you for the referral that people pass us on. We hope our photographs touches their lifes as well.

We started our shoot in the couple’s residence, and move on to Morib in the evening. In between these trees……

Back at work at my usual spot…. spotting sheila at her desk, transferring files from my hong kong shoot, and scruffy’s new hair cut…. he has got a depressed look…. ;p

When I arrive in Hong Kong, I started to wonder around the city with my camera. On one hand, I am able to scout new locations for my upcoming shoot. On another hand, I really wanna just shoot around the city, without needing to worry about time, or where I am. I simply wanna lose myself into it.

When I was on foot, I discover new things. Or rather, rediscover the places I use to know, and find new places. I found a nice coffee specialty place in Central name Rabbit Hole, and I am totally in love with their coffee. They serve variety of single-origin beans, with great ambience and coffee experience.

I get a chance to walkabout, and to just stay around and witness photography sessions taking place at the Tsim Sa Tsui Art Centre, where many brides and grooms get register. I call myself, Professional Uncle Bob from Malaysia…. all while I am having my soft cone that I bought near by.

I mean, just random photographs…. while random scouting for places….. so I could make photographs like this:

More of this portfolio when it’s prime time. Not just yet.

For now, it’s great I manage to spend some time with my extended family here in Hong Kong, and it’s always nice to have photographs of them in my collection.

I was talking about photo walking and discover new or renew the previous experiences. One thing I rediscover for sure, sore legs, and tired shoulders. Would I replace these with sleeps and rest the last 4 days I am here? Over my dead body.

I have a problem. I don’t know which came first. Photography, or travel. Then again You may just say, they go hand in hand. I think i can make peace with that.

To say that I am having the time of my life doing things that I love doing, that’s true.. But I bet there are more than that in life. Places that I excel in, left many other spaces that I am failing in.

I guess that’s plenty more to life from doing what you do to make a living, to make new experiences, to make new artwork, heck to make a living and to make ends meet.

I am in the plane now, enroute to hong kong looking forward for some travel photography, and a portrait session with a client of mine end of week, and some quality time with some close cousins of mine with their kids. I am not good with kids. I stomped down to toy r us just now to seek something that I think they might love playing. A Lego set for both of my cousin nephew.
There isn’t really a point about this blog post except that it’s a result of flying alone trapped in a seat, and after drinking a beer, letting the fingers roll on the iPad.

I guess, it’s about a reminder that I love my job, and the things I do, and a reminder that there are plenty more I seek for in life.

In short, i guess, I am emoing.

I love traveling by myself sometimes. Give me space, let me think i love the little moments. i love my solitude time. And i love i can create photographs during these time that touches my own soul. And i love manifesting that feeling. Maybe I’ll just share this out…. Something about me, something more than just beautiful photographs that I create at weddings.
